SCAVNJ
scavnj is a clean, simple browser. It allows you to go anywhere on the internet that you want. It doesn't push you one direction or another. It doesn't ask you to buy anything. It does not collect data about you. It helps you to filter out ads and other things that get in the way of your browsing. Because at its core, scavnj is a clean, simple browser.
But there's more... There are layers to the Web, and scavnj is going to bring the Web alive for you with fun and exciting things that you have never seen before. But only if you want it to.
scavnj is not perfect yet. You can help improve it. Try it. Share it with others. The more pioneers we have testing and giving feedback, the better it will be. Remember, improvements might come from subtracting features as well as adding them.
To improve scavnj for you, you have direct two way communication with us, through the browser. This can be anonymous, or you can tell us how to contact you. You can't do that with Google.
To give you and us maximum independence and control, we're not providing this through Google's Play Store, it needs to be downloaded and installed, or "sideloaded". This is safe if you download from this site, scavnj.org, but takes more effort than using the Play Store. Don't worry, Google's Play Protect system within Android scans the app as it's installed and provides reassurance that the app is safe to load and will not harm your data or device.
It will be worth it.
There will be glitches. That's the nature of pioneering. You may be asked to update the browser more frequently than normal, but every update will deliver a genuine improvement to you. The improvement may even be because of you.
You can see exactly which bug fixes and upgrades we are working on in our public works over at this page.
Right now, it's only for Android, while we test things out to ensure the smoothest, least frustrating Web experience possible.
If you use more than one phone or tablet, install scavnj on all of your mobile devices so you always have the same clean browser and the same chance to catch what appears next.
The first game to demonstrate the layers of the Web is simple mental bubble gum. Find, burst and count bubbles when they appear on the pages you're already visiting. If you're reading the news and see a bubble, pop it. We think it's a good way to aid focus while having a bit of fun.
Enjoy!
